Judge in Italy Convicts 23 Americans In CIA Rendition Case

An Italian judge has convicted 23 in absentia in connection with a CIA rendition case, it was announced Wednesday. The 23 Americans were accused of illegal kidnapping an Egyptian cleric, Osama Moustafa Hassan Nasr, also known as Abu Omar, on a Milan street in February of 2003.

Freight Train Derails In Coastal Viareggio Italy

A coastal town of Viareggio in Italy saw one of the biggest train derailment in its history last night. A freight train derailed and the carriages exploded. Russian state TV says the train was passing at 90 KM/H, which is a speed two times higher than the regulations allow for these trains passing through stations.
