Autism Action DVD released in Autism Awareness Week appealing to Gordon Brown

(London, UK) Autism campaigners in Great Britain have released an appeal to UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Children's Secretary Ed Balls in a DVD titled 'Autism Action.' The DVD has been released by the Autism Awareness Campaign UK to coincide with Autism Awareness Week in the UK which runs from 1st October - 7th October 2007.The 'Autism Action' film is directed by Ian McLeod.

CALL FOR GORDON BROWN TO LAUNCH SEN/AUTISM ACADEMIES IN THE UK

(London, UK) Ivan Corea, of the Autism Awareness Campaign UK called on Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Secretary of State for Children Ed Balls to allow SEN schools to be transformed into academies under the Government's program. He also called on the Government to set up state of the art specialist autism schools or academies - according to estimates there over 90,000 children in the UK who are on the autism spectrum. 'Children with autism deserve a world class education,' he said.

Autism Campaigners appeal to Gordon Brown: Invest in Children with Autism

UK Autism Campaigners are appealing to the new Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, to invest in the lives of autistic children in the UK. Autism is a neuro-developmental disorder -over 500,000 people in the UK are on the autism spectrum. According to researchers 1 in 100 children may have autism. Over 90,000 children in the UK are autistic - many suffer without proper access to public services in education, health, specialist speech therapy and respite care.

Autism Awareness Campaign: Gordon Brown must tackle Autism Issues

The head of the Autism Awareness Campaign UK, Ivan Corea has urged the Prime Minister-in-Waiting, Gordon Brown (Chancellor of the Exchequer) to tackle the issues concerning autism when he takes over as Prime Minister on 27th June. Tony Blair's Legacy Agenda to include Autism

Autism is firmly on the British Prime Minister's Legacy Agenda as Tony Blair prepares to leave office in the summer.
