He's got big shoes to fill, but with Sunday's Hall of Fame Game 2009, the opening game of the NFL pre-season, also debuts Al Michael's new partner, Cris Collinsworth. He replaces John Madden, who in fact is irreplaceable, many would say, on NBC's Sunday Night Football.

Electronic Arts has selected two players to grace the cover of Madden 2010. Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals will both be featured on the cover of the Madden NFL 2010 video game.

NBC Sports announced on Thursday that John Madden, 73, Hall of Fame coach and one of the the most honored broadcasters in sports television history, has decided to retire from broadcasting.
