NC Governor Blocks Early Release Of Violent Prisoners

Governor Bev Perdue has blocked the release of 20 inmate convicted of violent crimes; just one week before they are scheduled to be released early from North Carolina prisons. All of these prisoners were sentence to life for crimes such as murder and rape in the 1970s.
