Almeida Theatre Announces Summer Festival

For its annual summer festival of contemporary opera, music and theatre, the Almeida Theatre will present a programme which includes the London premiere of An Ocean of Rain, a specially commissioned opera by Yannis Kyriakides and Daniel Danis, the European premiere of Adam Rapp’s Nocturne and British African Theatre Company Tiata Fahodzi’s first week long residency at the Almeida.

Unpopular Culture Comes To Southbank Centre

Grayson Perry was catapulted into the public consciousness in 2003 when he won the Turner Prize for his delicate coil pots adorned with drawings and text suggesting a range of subject matter. Perhaps less well-known is Perry’s work as a curator. Number Of CIS Companies On London Stock Exchange's Markets Reaches 100

The London Stock Exchange today celebrated the admission to trading of Magnit, which takes the number of companies from Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States on the Exchange's markets to 100. The company's GDR issue in London will supplement existing Magnit listings on the RTS and MICEX stock exchanges.

The Hayward Project Space 1968 was the year that rocked the world. A time of unparalleled upheaval across the world, the remarkable events of 1968 created a legacy that was to shape a generation. To commemorate the revolutionary spirit of 1968, and to celebrate its own 40th birthday, The Hayward is presenting the first major May 68: Street Posters from the Paris Rebellion display in the UK of posters produced by students and workers in Paris during the strikes of May 1968.
