The 10th anniversary season of KCRW’s World Festival at the Hollywood Bowl kicks-off on Sunday, June 22, at 7pm, with Thievery Corporation, Bebel Gilberto, Los Amigos Invisibles and Federico Aubele. Bollywood star Asha Bhosle debuts at Walt Disney Concert Hall Sunday, April 27, at 7:30 p.m., for a one-night-only performance that covers the legacy of a passionate, prolific, and versatile singer. Amit Kumar joins Bhosle to help honor her musical journey with songs from her latest release: 75 Years of Asha: A Musical Journey.

Stephane Deneve, recognized internationally as a conductor of the highest caliber, leads the Los Angeles Philharmonic in three performances at Walt Disney Concert Hall on Thursday and Saturday, March 6 and 8, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, March 9, at 2 p.m.

Eva Ayllon, one of Peru's foremost Afro-Peruvian musicians, debuts at Walt Disney Concert Hall on Friday, March 7, at 8 p.m. With a recording career that spans over 30 years and 20 albums, Ayllon is one of the leading interpreters of Peru's musica criolla, and is deservedly known as the Queen of Lando. This performance is part of the Los Angeles Philharmonic's 2007/2008 World Music series.

Superstar Chinese pianist Lang Lang returns to Walt Disney Concert Hall to treat audiences to his unique presentation and flair, Tuesday, March 4, at 8 p.m. The evening’s program includes Mozart’s Piano Sonata No. 13 in B-flat major, K. 333, Schumann’s Fantasie in C major, Op. 17, Los Requiebros from Granados Goyescas and two pieces by Liszt – Isolde’s Liebestod from Tristan und Isolde and Hungarian Rhapsody No. 6 in D-flat major, S.244/6.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association’s 2007/2008 Toyota Symphonies for Youth (TSFY) concert series at Walt Disney Concert Hall continues on Saturday, March 1, at 11 a.m., with Nathaniel Stookey’s The Composer is Dead, an orchestral whodunit that leaves no instrument unturned. The program repeats on Saturday, March 8, at 11 a.m.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association’s 2007/2008 Jazz Series continues on Sunday, March 2, at 7:30 p.m. with A Tribute to Ella, an evening that celebrates Ella Fitzgerald’s 90th birthday year. Special guest vocalists Ann Hampton Callaway, T.C. Carson, Ledisi, Mark Murphy, Janis Siegel and music director Patrice Rushen join a swingin’ big band for a special program dedicated to the First Lady of Song.

Brooklyn-based indie rock band Grizzly Bear debuts at Walt Disney Concert Hall on Saturday, March 1, at 9 p.m. The Los Angeles Philharmonic and Grizzly Bear perform for this co-headlining concert that pairs orchestral and experimental-rock repertoire for a cohesive program that aims to break boundaries between genres and generations. The orchestra does not perform together with Grizzly Bear.

Ireland’s premier musical ambassadors, The Chieftains, make their debut appearance at Walt Disney Concert Hall to kick off the 2007/2008 World Music series on Thursday, February 21, at 8 p.m.

Members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic perform in a Chamber Music Society concert on Tuesday, February 12, at 8 p.m., in a program that includes Beethoven’s Piano Trio No. 1 in E-flat major and Ravel’s String Quartet.
