Mariza, one of the foremost fado singers in the world, returns to Walt Disney Concert Hall on Sunday, October 28, at 7:30 p.m. For this one-night-only appearance, renowned architect Frank Gehry transforms the Walt Disney Concert Hall stage into a taverna, a design that represents the Portuguese home of fado music.

Legendary Broadway songstress Barbara Cook celebrates the week of her 80th birthday in style with a return to Walt Disney Concert Hall on Saturday, October 27, 2007, at 8 p.m. Cook's performance features her latest presentation No One Is Alone - a celebration of the songs of Stephen Sondheim and his closest collaborators and friends, including Leonard Bernstein, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, Oscar Hammerstein, Richard Rodgers and Jule Styne.

Beginning Wednesday, December 12, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association presents festive programming that features six performances in December - and two very special engagements on New Year's Eve.

The annual Tchaikovsky Spectacular with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, conducted by Thomas Wilkins, pianist Gabriela Montero and dramatic fireworks returns to the Hollywood Bowl on Friday and Saturday, August 31 and September 1, at 8:30 p.m.

The thrill is back as bluesman B.B. King brings his B.B. King Blues Festival to the Hollywood Bowl Wednesday, September 5 at 8:00 p.m. Los Angeles receives this one-night-only performance as part of a nationwide tour that hits 16 U.S. cities with various artists on each stop. Opening the show for this leg of the tour is Sacred Steel disciple Robert Randolph and the Family Band, as well as retro-soul guitarist James Hunter, who makes his Hollywood Bowl debut with this performance.

British dance-pop duo Pet Shop Boys makes a special one-night-only stateside appearance at the Hollywood Bowl. The concert will take place on Thursday, September 27, at 7:30 pm. In the midst of a European tour, this Bowl debut is their only U.S. appearance. Also jumping across the pond for their Bowl debut is electro-pop group Ladytron.

Russian conductor Kirill Petrenko leads the Los Angeles Philharmonic in two performances of a program featuring Russian pianist Nikolai Lugansky in Rachmaninoff's towering Piano Concerto No. 3 on Tuesday and Thursday, August 28 and 30, at 8 p.m. at the Hollywood Bowl. Also on the all-Russian program are Shostakovich's Symphony No. 1 and Stravinsky's Firebird Suite (1919).

Legendary jazz vocalist Nancy Wilson celebrates her 70th birthday with special friends and colleagues on Wednesday, August 29, at 8:00 p.m. at the Hollywood Bowl. Since she began her professional singing career over fifty years ago, Nancy Wilson has built an inspiring repertoire, and continues to defy categorization with her versatile and sultry singing style.
