The Madison Symphony Orchestra (MSO) is pleased to announce the winners of the 2007 Bolz Young Artist Competition. The final round of competition was held last night before a live audience in Overture Hall. Sixteen year-old pianist Kyle Coolidge of Baraboo, WI and 17 year-old violinist Krista Stewart of Middleton, WI took top honors. Kyle performed Liszt's Piano Concerto No. 1 in E-flat Major and Krista performed the first movement of Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto.

Halfway through their third season in Overture Hall, Music Director John DeMain and the Madison Symphony Orchestra (MSO) are again breaking organizational records for subscribers with a record 5,005 season ticket holders, marking the official close of the MSO's 2006-2007 season subscription campaign. The MSO continues to buck national industry trends pointing toward declining subscription sales in favor of lastminute single ticket purchases.
