Two weeks removed from the Detroit Lions first win in over a year they are now unlikely to have their quarterback. If the Lions lose Matthew Stafford this week it will be hard to compete against the Steelers.

Despite questions not over his raw talent, but over consistency and the intangibles it takes to be a great QB, the Detroit Lions signed Georgia QA Matthew Stafford before the NFL draft on Friday night. The Lions will formally take Stafford with the No. 1 pick in the draft Saturday.
