Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s 50th Anniversary Season

Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Music Director Andreas Delfs and President and Executive Director Mark C. Hanson announced plans today for the MSO’s 2008/09 season – the MSO’s 50th and Music Director Andreas Delfs’ 12th and final season as Music Director. Delfs will become Conductor Laureate following this season, honoring the contributions Delfs has made to the MSO and the City of Milwaukee.

The Gufs Join Milwaukee Symphony

Local Milwaukee rock band The Gufs join the Milwaukee Symphony at the end of June for the U.S. Bank Summer Concert Series. These four free performances take place in Milwaukee County Parks, and are sponsored by U.S. Bank and Target, with additional support provided by the Greater Milwaukee Foundation. Jack Everly Joins Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra

Guest conductor Jack Everly leads the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra in 1950s: The Golden Age of Black and White June 6, 7 and 8, 2008. You'll be transported back to the fabulous 1950s through the music of Elvis, Doris Day, Nat King Cole, Bobby Darin, and many more. The program will also feature a cappella artists Chapter 6 and soloists Farah Alvin and Sharon Wheatley.

EnjoyMilwaukee Symphony Orchestra In Cathedral Square Park

The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra presents "Symphony on the Square", four free outdoor performances in Cathedral Square Park at 12 noon during the month of June with a bonus Arts in Community Education Family Day July 3. Lunch vendors will be on site for each concert, and audience members can participate in raffles and giveaways. The July 3 performance includes children's activities presented by local community partners.
