The Walker Art Center presents Festival of Lies, a combination soukous party and contemporary dance performance by Congolese choreographer Faustin Linyekula and his ensemble, Les Studios Kabako, Thursday-Saturday, November 1–3, at the Cedar Cultural Center.

Osmo Vänskä and the Minnesota Orchestra conclude their acclaimed performance cycle of Beethoven's symphonies with concerts November 1 to 3 featuring that composer's dance-like Seventh Symphony and his noble Emperor Piano Concerto, which showcases 27-year-old Russian piano virtuoso Yevgeny Sudbin as soloist.

Noted jazz performer Pat Metheny will bring his Pat Metheny Trio to Orchestra Hall for a single concert on Sunday, October 14, at 7 p.m. The Grammy award - winner will be joined by dynamic bassist Christian McBride and drum sensation Antonio Sanchez. Ticket prices range from $20 to $59.

Frida Kahlo centennial exhibition at Walker Art Center goes beyond the myth to provide an intimate look at the artist's hauntingly beautiful paintings. Touring show includes 90 photographs from Kahlo's personal albums.

In conjunction with the Walker Art Center exhibition Frida Kahlo, which draws from some 30 private and institutional collections in the United States, Mexico, France, and Japan, the Walker and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) have assembled two exhibitions for presentation in 2008 at the Museo Dolores Olmedo, Xochimilco, Mexico City.

The Children's Theatre Company will present 'Fashion 47' running from September 28 to October 21, 2007. It is most enjoyed by ages 13+. CTC's first 2007-2008 production on the Cargill Stage ctc4teens is Fashion 47, a world premiere by Diane Paulus and Randy Weiner and directed by Diane Paulus.
