The Red Sox agreed to a two-year pact with Tim Wakefield today and made the deal right at deadline time. The Red Sox did not reveal terms of the deal but there are reports from both WEEI and ESPN that indicate Wakefield's deal is worth a guaranteed $7 million.

NYC.gov Gives Away 500 NY Yankee Parade Tickets

The New York Yankees will celebrate with the public on Friday, November 7 at 11am and the NYC.gov site gave away 500 tickets to some very lucky fans. Mayor Michael Bloomberg will present keys to the city to the Yankees at the ceremony, which begins Friday at 1 p.m. after the ticker-tape parade.
