In partnership with the Fondation Pierre Berge – Yves Saint Laurent, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco are presenting the first retrospective spanning the forty years of creativity of the Maison Haute Couture Yves Saint Laurent.

Through February 24, 2008, visitors to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts are invited to discover works belonging to private collectors who live in Montreal or who have a connection to the city. All for Art! Our Great Private Collectors Share Their Works brings together more than 250 works for an exceptional exhibition.

To mark the tenth anniversary of the Daniel Langlois Foundation for Art, Science, and Technology (DLF), the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts presents, through December 9, 2007, works by ten artists from Canada and abroad who have received funding from the DLF.

For its tenth edition, Le Mois de la Photo à Montréal highlights narrative experimentation with the image, under the general title Replaying Narrative, where contemporary video and photography go hand in hand, incorporating narration in a variety of ways such as the appropriation of an image from a well-known film or story.

Through December 9, 2007, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts is presenting The Artistic Legacy of the Montreal Sulpicians, an exhibition commemorating the important contribution made by the Company of the Sulpician Fathers to the history of art in Canada, from the French Regime to the present day, in celebration of the 350th anniversary of the arrival of their first members in this country.

Montreal Museum Of Fine Arts will present The Artistic Legacy of the Montreal Sulpicians on view from September 13 to December 9, 2007.

An exhibition at Montreal Museum Of Fine Arts running from January 31 to June 8, 2008, will present Cuban art and history from 1868 to today.

For a second consecutive season, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA) and the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM) are joining together to present the chamber music series Musical Canvases. This series was a great success last year, selling out every concert. Music and art lovers can discover or rediscover these memorable experiences, thanks to this continuing association between two of the major players on Montreal’s cultural scene.

For its eleventh edition, the FREEFORM Series is presenting, through September 16, 2007, the exhibition The Erotic Poetry of Hoog, which features some fifty works on paper by American artist John Lurie.

Through October 28, 2007, The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts is hosting the exhibition American Streamlined Design: The World of Tomorrow. This is the most comprehensive survey ever mounted on this style, inspired by the aerodynamic lines and the sleek curves of 1930s aircraft, trains and ships.

Presented exclusively at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA) through December 2, 2007, the celebrated group of the Gilded Bronzes of Cartoceto di Pergola — two larger-than-life men on horseback accompanied by two standing women — are being displayed outside Italy for the first time.
