On January 18th, 2008 in the Russian Trading System derivatives section – FORTS there was registered a record number of open interest on ruble overnight credit (deposit) rate MosIBOR contract.

On January 16th, 2008 a new record of trading volume of futures on Russian Trading System Index was registered on FORTS. By the results of the day trading volume of the given instrument equaled 58,9 rubles or 534 021 contracts.

2007 became a significant stage of qualitative development for Russian Trading System and the year of further strengthening of RTS positions on the Russian stock market. Trading volume on all RTS Group markets grew sixfold and reached a record value of 687,4 bln dollars.

The sizes of the Reserve and the Contingency funds of the RTS Clearing Centre, which carries out clearing operations on trades on FORTS, have been increased.
