As English-Irish actor Daniel Day-Lewis took home his second Oscar for his leading role as a mean early oil entrepreneur in the motion picture There Will Be Blood. The top four Oscar winners for acting were European actors.

No Country for Old Men - a film about a drug deal gone horribly wrong - captured the Oscar for Best Picture of the Year at Hollywood's 80th Academy Awards ceremony in California.

Motion Picture Association Of America has prepared very interesting movies for 2008 Oscar Nominations, particularly interesting oscar nominees being the foreign language films of "Mongol" (about Chingiz Khan) and "12" (very heated drama about justice).

Motion Picture Association of America will take into consideration smoking in movies while rating them. This new criteria is going to be included in MPAA's rating system and the movies with smoking personages will automatically get R rating.
