A U.K. man has been cleared of strangling his wife, as doctors and experts proved during his trial that he killed her during a nightmare. Brian Thomas suffered from a long-term sleep disorder and experts said he was in a state of automatism, where his mind had no control over his bod, when he strangled Christine, his childhood sweetheart and wife of 40 years in July 2008.

UConn Football Player Jasper Howard Suspected Killer Charged

An arrest in the stabbing of UConn football player Jasper Howard was made Tuesday morning. John William Lomax was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with stabbing 20-year-old Jasper Howard according to his attorney, Deron Freeman. Lomax was initially to be charged in connection with the fight that led to Jasper Howard’s death, but not with murder. However, the state police have enough evidence and have charged Lomax with the killing.

Jury Can't Decide If Dad Threw Daughter Off Cliff

A Los Angeles County jury deadlocked this afternoon in the criminal trial of a Rancho Palos Verdes dad charged with throwing his 4-year-old daughter off a cliff to avoid child support payments. Today's hung jury is the second jury to return hopelessly deadlocked after a jury in a 2006 trial also couldn't reach a unanimous verdict as to whether or not the dad threw his daughter off a Rancho Palos Verdes cliff in November of 2000.
