Craigie Horsfield : Relation : 15 March - 3 June 2007

Born in England in 1949, Craigie Horsfield is an internationally renowned photographer and filmmaker. The MCA is working with the prestigious Jeu de Paume Museum in Paris on this major exhibition of Horsfield's work which covers all aspects of his practise from portraits of people, cities and the landscapes with which they interact; to film, photography, social projects and sound work.

The Museum of Contemporary Art celebrates fifteen years of presenting the best contemporary art from across Australia and the globe, ushering in a new era of optimism with the announcement of a strong 2007 artistic program, burgeoning visitor numbers, its first ever generic television commercial and new sponsorship deals with Qantas and Channel Seven.

This summer at the MCA discover how moving imagery has become ubiquitous in both contemporary art and our daily lives in an exhibition of video art drawn from the extensive collection of the Centre Pompidou in Paris.

The MCA presents the first major solo exhibition of one of Australia's most respected artists, Paddy Bedford. Demonstrating Bedford's powerful command of painting, the exhibition covers the span of his practice, tracing the development of his motifs and techniques over the past eight years.
