Museum of Modern Art, New York will present an exhibition of prints and illustrated books named 'Multiplex', on view from November 21, 2007 to July 28, 2008. During the 1970s, there was a shift in critical thinking about art when a range of divergent approaches and multiple mediums became the subject of attention, rather than one dominant trend or movement.

The Museum of Modern Art has acquired significant works in a variety of mediums by such artists as Francis Alÿs, Louise Bourgeois, Andreas Gursky, Jasper Johns, William Kentridge, Neo Rauch, Richard Serra, Kara Walker, and Zhang Huan, as well as a major collection of conceptual art from Amsterdam’s Art & Project Gallery, Director Glenn D. Lowry announced today.

New Perspectives in Latin American Art, 1930–2006: Selections from a Decade of Acquisitions presents some 200 works by Latin American artists that have been added to the collection over the past ten years at Museum of Modern Art, New York.

This retrospective of the sculptures of acclaimed American artist Martin Puryear (b. 1941) at Museum Of Modern Art, New York will feature 47 works that chart the development of Puryear's artistic career over the last 30 years, from his first solo museum show in 1977 to the present day.

The Museum of Modern Art presents an exhibition of Spanish films that explores an era when filmmakers sought creative freedom through cinema, during the culturally oppressive regime of General Francisco Franco (1939–75). Spain (Un)Censored, which is presented October 17–November 5, 2007, in The Roy and Niuta Titus Theaters, features dramatically expressive films that awakened peoples' consciousness about social realities during—and despite—the dictatorship.

Lines, Grids, Stains, Words brings together 57 drawings and one series of prints from the Museum's collection, many on view at Museum of Modern Art for the first time, that share the seemingly simple and impersonal characteristics of Minimal art.

The Museum of Modern Art presents Repicturing the Past/Picturing the Present, an exhibition of nearly 100 prints that demonstrate how artists from the late nineteenth century to today have explored contemporary issues by challenging, redeeming, or personalizing historical subjects.
