An exhibition of twenty nine specially commissioned prints created by members of Graphic Studio Dublin and invited artists will open in the National Gallery of Ireland from until Sunday 28 September 2008. Admission is free.

The redevelopment this year of The Model Arts and Niland Gallery in Sligo presents an opportunity for the National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin to exhibit a selection of works by Jack B. Yeats from the wonderful Niland Collection.

The National Gallery of Ireland has placed on view its recent acquisition, 'Young Woman in White Reading' by French nineteenth-century master, Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919). The painting, which is the first Renoir to enter the collection, was purchased at auction, at Sotheby's Sale of Impressionist & Modern Art in New York (November 2007).

Mr. Seamus Brennan, T.D., Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism, has officially unveiled the National Gallery of Ireland's most recent gift; Johann Zoffany 'Portrait of George Fitzgerald with his sons George and Charles'.

In keeping with annual tradition, the Vaughan bequest of watercolours by Joseph Mallord William Turner (1775-1851) will go on display in the National Gallery of Ireland from 1-31 January 2008. Admission is free.

The role of the 'Fantastic' in Irish Art is the focus of the National Gallery's Print Gallery exhibition featuring over 50 works on paper, sculpture and stained glass produced by Irish artists between 1870-1930.
