Admission to the museum and most activities is free; however, advance registration is required. Space is limited, and registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Join the U.S. Air Force Band of Flight for an evening of swing-style music as they present a concert titled "It Might As Well Be Swing" on March 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert is open to the public. No tickets are necessary, but seating is limited to the first 1,200 people.

On July 26, 1947, President Harry S. Truman signed the National Security Act while on board the VC-54C Sacred Cow. This act established the Air Force as an independent service, making the Sacred Cow, on display at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, the birthplace of the Air Force.
