Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced a new limited-production Nissan GT-R SpecV model, which goes on sale at seven specially selected Nissan dealers throughout Japan on February 2, 2009. The GT-R SpecV is targeted specifically at enthusiast drivers who desire race car-level performance in a street-legal vehicle.

On October 19th at Autopolis (1 lap: 4.674kms), located in Oita prefecture, Round 8 of this year's SUPER GT took place. Starting from pole position, the #23 XANAVI NISMO GT-R (#23 Satoshi Motoyama/Benoit Treluyer) once more took overall victory.

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., will exhibit a quarter-scale model of its new Nissan GT-R as part of "Wa: The Spirit of Harmony and Japanese Design Today," a traveling European exhibition which will open at the Japan Cultural Institute in Paris this month. The Paris event will run from Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008 to Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009.

In less than two months since pre-orders were accepted for the all-new Nissan GT-R in Japan, orders have already reached 2,282, exceeding by a factor of 11 the planned monthly sales total. GT-R goes on sale in Japan on December 6th.

NISSAN GT-R race car for the GT500 class of Japan's SUPER GT series underwent a shakedown at the renowned Suzuka Circuit from October 29 – 30 supervised by NISMO (Nissan Motorsports International Co., Ltd.). The vehicle is scheduled to debut in the series next year.

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., today announced the launch of the Nissan GT-R, a new multi-dimensional performance machine that lives up to the concept of "an ultimate supercar for anyone, anywhere, at anytime". The Nissan GT-R features a newly developed Premium Midship package, including the world's first independent transaxle 4WD developed independently by Nissan. The Nissan GT-R will be available in Japan mainly through Nissan High Performance Centers nationwide from December 6th.

Nissan will show the all-new GT-R for the first time in public at the 2007 Tokyo Concours D’Elegance, starting on Friday, October 26. Nissan is one of several sponsors of this unique first-time classic car event, being held at Tokyo Midtown. In addition to displaying the new Nissan GT-R, the company has also provided the rare 1962 Michelotti Skyline Sport and the exotic 1998 R390 GT1 road car from its heritage car collection.
