Original Watercolors From New Book Glassigator At Toledo Museum

To celebrate the fall release of the Toledo Museum of Art’s first children’s book, Glassigator, TMA opens an exhibition of 20 original watercolor illustrations by internationally famous glass artist Dan Dailey. Historian Discusses Visionary Career Of Hap Arnold

National Museum of the U.S. Air Force Historian Dr. Jeff Underwood will present "Hap Arnold: Air Force Visionary" on March 27 at 7 p.m. in the museum's Carney Auditorium. The lecture will focus on the life and career of General Henry H. "Hap" Arnold, who commanded the U.S. Army Air Forces in World War II.

The National Museum of the United States Air Force will offer educational activities for home school children, ages 3-18, during Home School Day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 26. Admission to the museum and most activities is free; however, advance registration is required. Space is limited, and registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Enjoy US Air Force Band Of Flight At U.S. Air Force Museum

Join the U.S. Air Force Band of Flight for an evening of swing-style music as they present a concert titled "It Might As Well Be Swing" on March 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert is open to the public. No tickets are necessary, but seating is limited to the first 1,200 people.

Commemorate The Air Force's 60th Anniversary

On July 26, 1947, President Harry S. Truman signed the National Security Act while on board the VC-54C Sacred Cow. This act established the Air Force as an independent service, making the Sacred Cow, on display at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, the birthplace of the Air Force.
