Boston Lyric Opera Launches 08-09 Season

Boston Lyric Opera is preparing to launch its magical 2008-2009 Season which features Jacques Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann (The Tales of Hoffmann) November 7-18, 2008; Antonin Dvorak’s Rusalka March 20-31, 2009; and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Don Giovanni April 24-May 5, 2009.

Sarasota Opera Launches Season With Barber Of Seville

Mounting its first full opera production in the fall, Sarasota Opera will give five performances of Rossini’s delightful comedy The Barber of Seville on November 7, 9 (matinee), 12, 14, and 16 (matinee). All performances will take place at the historic Sarasota Opera House, which reopened in March 2008 after a $20 million renovation and rehabilitation.
