For the second year in a row, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has sanctioned the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra (CSO) to host Charlotte's only official Oscar party, Oscar Night® America. The Academy will present the 79th Academy Awards® Ceremony at 8:00 PM EST on Sunday, February 25, 2007 on ABC. WSOC-TV Channel 9 is Charlotte's ABC affiliate station. CSO's event will join approximately 49 Oscar Night America parties across the nation in celebration.
