The leader of Poland's center-right opposition party Civic Platform announced on Tuesday that he is ready to open preliminary coalition talks.

Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenkocast into the opposition by a parliamentary coalition led by his chief political rival, today suggested he may dissolve the Verkhovna Rada, RFE/RL's Ukrainian Service reported.
