Phoenix Symphony Concertmaster To Lead Solisti Di Zagreb Ensemble

The Phoenix Symphony announced today that longtime concertmaster Borivoj "Boro" Martinić-Jerčić would be leaving the organization to assume a full-time leadership role with the Solisti Di Zagreb. He will take over the roles of Concertmaster and Music Director this fall. In September, "Boro" will also join the music faculty at the Zagreb Conservatory of Music.

Phoenix Symphony Honors Sandra Day O'Connor And John Jay O'Connor

The Phoenix Symphony announced that it will name one of its musician chairs for eminent Arizonans and classical music lovers former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor and her husband John Jay O'Connor. The naming will occur before the symphony concert 7:30 p.m., Thursday, January 11, at Symphony Hall, 75 N. Second Street, Phoenix.
