Northwest Airline Pilots Suspended for Missing Airport

There is plenty of speculation as to why Northwest Airlines flight number 188 flew right past its destination, the Minneapolis airport. Some reports indicate that the pilots fell asleep and had to be alerted by airline attendants. Others report that the pilots were in a heated debate so they went 150 miles past the Minneapolis airport before realizing that they had backtrack. It's all rumor at this point and only the flight recorder knows for sure.

The captain of the Continental Airlines flight 61 from Brussels to Newark died this morning during the trans Atlantic flight. According to CNN, Continental Airlines confirms that one of its pilots died during a flight from Brussels and the plane is about to land in Newark around noon.
