Qt Software today announced that Qtopia, a platform for creating user interfaces and applications for advanced consumer electronics based on Linux, has been renamed and launched as Qt Extended 4.4.

Qtopia Platform is an application framework for the efficient creation of Linux-based devices with a rich multi-application user experience. Qtopia Phone Edition is a comprehensive application platform and user interface for Linux-based mobile phones.
