On Saturday, December 1, 2007 come discover the fascinating stories behind the export of Chinese goods throughout the world with the Royal Ontario Museum’s (ROM) new exhibition, Trade Winds: Chinese Export Wares from the 8th to 20th centuries. The exhibition will be on display until April 6, 2008 in the Museum’s Herman Herzog Levy Gallery.

December 2007 (TBD) marks the much-anticipated opening of the first two permanent galleries of the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal – the James and Louise Temerty Galleries of the Age of Dinosaurs as well as the Gallery of the Age of Mammals. Together, these awe-inspiring, light-filled new galleries occupy 1,450 sq. metres (15,600 sq. ft.), the entire Level 2 of the Lee-Chin Crystal.

Royal Ontario Museum is pleased to announce Glimpses of Byzantium, a selection of artifacts from the ROM's collections and the first in a series of three installations in the Museum's Centre Block, Level 3. Opening Friday, October 12, 2007, artifacts from the ROM's impressive Byzantine collection, the most important in Canada and one of the top five in North America, will be on display until December 2008.

On Saturday, October 6, 2007 the east wall of the Royal Ontario Museum's (ROM) Hyacinth Gloria Chen Court will become the digital canvas for Canadian multimedia artist Charlie Pachter's imaginative art work.

Fact? or Fiction?, the phenomenally successful signature fundraising event organized by the Royal Ontario Museum Governors, returns for an 11th incredible year on Wednesday, October 17, 2007. The event will take place from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm in the Hyacinth Gloria Chen Crystal Court of the ROM's Michael Lee-Chin Crystal, a suitably impressive venue for this social and intellectual feast.

The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) presents the inaugural performance of DSM5, an original multimedia installation created by internationally-recognized Digital Video Jockey (DVJ) Charles Kriel. On Saturday, September 29 at 8:00 pm DVJ Kriel will mix DSM5 live with a concert-quality sound system and dramatic images projected onto the Bloor Street façade of the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal.
