The world's unsurpassed collection of Japanese ukiyo-e paintings inaugurates the ROM's new Garfield Weston Exhibition Hall on June 2, 2007. The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is proud to inaugurate the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal's new Garfield Weston Exhibition Hall -- Canada's largest gallery for temporary international exhibitions -- with Drama and Desire: Japanese Paintings from the Floating World, 1690 - 1850.

The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is proud to unveil the expanded and relocated CIBC Discovery Gallery on Level 2 of the Philosophers' Walk Building. Starting Saturday, March 10 ,visitors of all ages can engage in an abundance of hands-on activities and real artifacts that bring discovery to life. Venturing through CIBC Discovery Gallery's three main areas, In the Earth, Around the World and Close to Home, visitors of all ages can learn more about the world around them.

Renowned artist Sugimoto inaugurates ICC's new gallery in the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal on June 2, 2007. The Institute for Contemporary Culture (ICC) at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is pleased to announce Hiroshi Sugimoto: History of History as the inaugural exhibition in its dramatic, new gallery atop the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal.

The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) announces the largest corporate gift in its history from Teck Cominco Limited to the Renaissance ROM project. This landmark $10 million gift will establish the Teck Cominco Suite of Earth Sciences Galleries, the Teck Cominco Endowed Chair in Mineralogy and the Teck Cominco Digital Education Module in Earth Sciences, as well as create a new home for the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame at the Museum.

Usher in the holiday season with the annual ROM for the Holidays program at the Royal Ontario Museum. From Wednesday, December 27, 2006 to Sunday, January 7, 2007 visitors are invited to take part in family programming that is sure to please the young and the young-at-heart. Activities run daily from 11 am to 4 pm in the Samuel Hall Currelly Gallery and are free with general ROM admission.
