Host nation of Rugby World Cup France finally get an opportunity to banish their shock opening loss to the Pumas when they take on Namibia in a Pool D match in Toulouse on Sunday.

MONTPELLIER, 16 September - Tonga survived a send-off and two yellow cards to defeat Samoa 19-15 at Stade de la Mosson - their first win over their South Pacific rivals in seven years and a major boost to their chances of making the IRB Rugby World Cup quarter-finals for the first time.

Wales center Gavin Henson was ruled out of rugby World Cup on Tuesday after failing to make the team for the weekend's warmup match against England. Henson had been struggling with an Achilles injury and coach Gareth Jenkins decided to rule him out of the Sept. 7-Oct. 20 tournament after omitting him for Saturday's game at Twickenham.

Brisbane will host the rugby league World Cup final and one of the semifinals next year, government officials announced Thursday. The cup final will be played Nov. 22, 2008, and Suncorp Stadium will also host a semifinal on Nov. 15, Queensland state premier Peter Beattie said.
