The following securities are now being included into Quotation List B and start trading on OJSC RTS:

By the decision of the Derivatives Market Committee of August 22nd, 2008 OOO Engelhard Industrial Metals was approved as a Special Clearing Member on the FORTS commodities section.

Quotation of O2TV ordinary shares (RTS Board ticker – odtv) are resumed on RTS Board, due to the information on the state registration of the report on the result of the issue (state registration number 1-02-12479-А as of August 07th, 2008).

The additional issue of Chelyabenergosbytordinary shares is now being admitted to trading on OJSC RTS (state registration number 1-01-55059-Е-001D as of 01.04.2008) in the number of 2 247 527 719. Shares of the principal and additional issues will be traded under a unified ticker (Classic Market ticker – CLSB, T+0 Market ticker – CLSBG).

As of August 28th, 2008 the following securities will be admitted to trading in the RTS Quotation List A1 after the transfer from the RTS Quotation List B:

On August 5th, 2008 a new record was set on FORTS, RTS derivatives section. During the daily trading session the trading volume in the RTS Index futures contract reached 578,518 contracts. The previous record trading volume in this futures contract was reported on January 17th, 2008 when the trading volume in this instrument hit 576,929 contracts.

On August 6th, 2008 a new record was set on FORTS, RTS derivatives section. By the end of the primary trading session the trading volume in the futures on the RTS Index reached 611,806 contracts.

On July 21st, 2008 the physical delivery against the July futures contract on sugar (SUN8) was successfully completed. The major traders of the Russian sugar market participated in the delivery.

As of July 30th, 2008, by the end of the evening settlement period (2:03 pm – 5:45 pm) the new methodology for determination of the settlement price for futures contracts of secondary importance (less liquid) approved by the RTS Derivatives Market Committee and the exchange on November 23rd, 2008 and July 28th, 2008 respectively comes into effect on FORTS.

The results of the absentee vote by the RTS Information Committee members on the inclusion of OJSC "FGC UES" and JSC "INTER RAO UES" shares into the RTS Indices waiting list became known on July 25th, 2008.

Over the week of July 21st – 25th, 2008, the RTS Index went down by 8,62% to reach 1951,29 points (2135,38 points as of July 18th, 2008).

Over the week of July 14th – 18th, 2008, the RTS Index went down by 1,47% to reach 2135,38 points (2167,18 points as of July 11th, 2008). Most of the negative impact on the Index dynamics was related to the falling prices for Gazprom ordinary shares (GAZP) (minus 14,56 points), JSC Uralkali ordinary shares (URKA) (minus 6,26 points) and NLMK ordinary shares (NLMK) (minus 4,77 points).
