ALOR Plus Corporation has become a new member of Order-Driven Trading on the RTS Stock Market.

On July 11th, 2008 a new record was set on FORTS, RTS derivatives section. During the daily trading session the number of trades in the RTS Index futures contract reached 84 975 trades.

Over the week of June 30th – July 4th, 2008, the RTS Index fell 5,65% to 2187,65 points (2318,61 points as of June 27th, 2008). Most of the negative impact on the Index dynamics was related to the falling prices for Gazprom ordinary shares (GAZP) (minus 24,74 points), OJSC "OC "Rosneft" ordinary shares (ROSN) (minus 14,99 points) and Sberbank ordinary shares (SBER) (minus 14,88 points).

By the unanimous vote of the FIA board of directors OJSC RTS was granted associated membership in the Futures Industry Association.

Over the week of July 7th – 11th, 2008, the RTS Index went down by 0,94% to reached 2167,18 points (2187,65 points as of July 4th, 2008). Most of the negative impact on the Index dynamics was related to the falling prices for OJSC "MMC "NORILSK NICKEL" ordinary shares (GMKN) (minus 9,66 points), Gazprom ordinary shares (GAZP) (minus 8,01 points), ОАО "LUKOIL" ordinary shares (LKOH) (minus 3,95 points).

A new version of the FIX Gateway developed for RTS by the software developer Devexperts, is being tested by RTS.

The board of directors of OJSC RTS elected Jacques Der Megreditchian as chairman of the board.

On the anonymous market trades are executed via the CCP in the course of double auction of opposite orders without full preliminary asset depositing with DVP settlement in US dollars on T+4.

On July 7th, 2008 there were 77,523 trades for a total $258,331,887 executed on FORTS in the evening trading session which exceeded 15% of the FORTS daily trading volume.

On July 7th, 2008 obligations under trades executed by equity market participants on OJSC RTS were for the first time fulfilled via electronic multilateral netting, a technology implemented by the exchange on June 30th, 2008 for settlement of CCP trades.

For the II quarter of 2008 the trading volume on the RTS Stock Market reached $86,6 billion (2,05 trillion roubles), including all types of trades. For the same period the average daily trading volume on the RTS Classic Market reached $1,39 billion.

In June 2008 RTS Index was going down, as compared to the end of May 2008, and by the end of the trading session of June 30th, 2008 reached 2 303,34 points against 2 459,88 points as of the end of the previous month.
