The work of the sculptor of the Parthenon in Athens, a bronze horse, went on display Friday at a Rome museum after a decades-long restoration. The horse was returned to the Capitoline Museums following a half a million euro (US$680,000) restoration that began in the late '70s, said museum director Anna Mura Sommella.

The Palm Springs Art Museum is pleased to announce the acquisition of a Helen Pashgian cast epoxy and mixed media wall sculpture. The piece UNTITLED (Copper), 2006 was purchased with funds provided by the Contemporary Art Council and chosen from a selection of three Pashgian pieces, voted upon at a recent acquisitions dinner. The piece will become part of the Art Museum's permanent collection.
