Celine Dion is currently working on a new French-language album, which is scheduled to be released in France and other French speaking countries in May 2007.

The BPO presents acclaimed composer David Shire, an Oscar and Grammy winner and multiple Tony and Emmy nominee. Mr. Shire will conduct the Orchestra and perform selections from the remarkably varied music he has written for stage, screen and recordings.

Lindsey Buckingham, of Fleetwood Mac fame, brings his amazing vocal and guitar talents to the McCallum Theatre stage on Sunday, January 21 at 7pm. Lindsey, perhaps still best known for Fleetwood Mac's1977 multi-platinum hit Rumors, has been recording solo works since 1981 with the album, Law and Order. His most recent album, 2006's Under the Skin is wildly experimental, and infused with Lindsey's signature style of hushed vocals and amazing guitar work.

The good news is that Cape Town Opera has been invited back to Nürnberg next year. The even better news is that it won't be for a third "Show Boat" but for something entirely different.
