New Delhi Slums to be Curtained Off During 2010 Games

Admittedly the Commonwealth Games don't generate the revenue of the Olympic games, but the clean-up effort that New Delhi is taking on for the 2010 Commonwealth Games looks pretty lame in comparison to what China did for the Beijing Olympic Games. Officials have given up, and are going to curtain off slum dwellers during the games.

Authorities Bulldoze Slumdog Millionaire Child Star's House

Eight Oscars and $326 million in box office receipts later, the impoverished lives of some of the stars of the hit film "Slumdog Millionaire" are little improved. Local on Wedneday bulldozed the shanty house belonging to the family of Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail, the 10-year-old who played the character Jamal Malik as a child.
