While not new in the world of summer camps for kids to spend their summer vacation at, fat camps such as the one featured in the MTV show “Fat Camp”, Camp Pocono Trails in Pennsylvania is a fun option for many of today’s kids. Some of these camps have been around for 30 and 40 years and offer most of the fun traditional activities that one would think of for a summer camp for kids, but with a focus on proper diet, exercises and weight loss.

Capo Beach Calvary Preschool & Jr. K, a South Orange County school committed to stimulating and encouraging students through a relaxed, child-centered environment, today announced the schedule of events for its Summer Adventure Camp. With theme-based activities involving pirates, puppies, jumpers and more, the program is open to all children ages 2 1/2 to 5 years old and will take place from June 22 to August 28, 2009, at 25975 Domingo Avenue in Capistrano Beach, Calif.

Summer is almost over, and with it, the summer camp season. Every year, hundreds of thousands of American youngsters spend several weeks living away from home in rustic conditions with other kids at sleep-away camps.
