Last Minute Conductor Substitution Saves Boston Symphony

The organizers of the Boston Symphony Orchestra's concert in New York City's Carnegie Hall had to work very hard to find a last minute conductor for yesterday's concert as it became apparent that James Levine would not be able to direct the concert. An Italian conductor Daniele Gatti took the place of Mr. Levine to to direct the opening concert of the 119th season's opening of Carnegie Hall.

Berkeley Symphony Announces 09-10 Season

Berkeley Symphony Orchestra announced plans for the 2009-10 season, the first with Music Director Joana Carneiro.
