The House of Representatives today joined the Senate in approving legislation that would expand and extend into next spring an $8000 tax credit for first-time homebuyers. The bill now goes to President Barack Obama for his signature. Existing home buyers will get $6500 home buyer tax credit.

The deadline for first-time home buyers to get the credit is approaching fast. If some Congress members have their way, that deadline will be extended and the program will be opened up to everyone.

British Minister for Care Services, Phil Hope MP has written personally to the autism charity, the UK Autism Foundation, expressing his wish to do more for parents, carers and people with autism in the United Kingdom. There are over 500,000 people with autism in the country. According to UK researchers 1 in 100 children are on the autism spectrum.

Lady Uddin is supporting the Poverty and Autism Initiative launched in London on Monday 3rd November by the autism charity, the UK Autism Foundation.

(London, UK) Saturday 4th October sees the UK's biggest ever event to End Child Poverty. According to organisers The Campaign to End Child Poverty, thousands are expected at the march from Millbank to Trafalgar Square. Parents, carers and children with autism and Asperger's Syndrome will also be joining this march. A UK based charity, the UK Autism Foundation has appealed for urgent help for families with autism who are below the poverty line.

The Honda FCX fuel cell-powered car, as the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) has approved that this hydrogen-powered Honda FCX will get a $12,000 tax credit.

The Internal Revenue Service announced that purchasers of qualified Ford Motor Company vehicles may continue to claim the Alternative Motor Vehicle Credit.
