Tax Credit Extended, Some Home Buyers To Get 6500

The House of Representatives today joined the Senate in approving legislation that would expand and extend into next spring an $8000 tax credit for first-time homebuyers. The bill now goes to President Barack Obama for his signature. Existing home buyers will get $6500 home buyer tax credit.

UK Autism: Care Services Minister Phil Hope says 'We want to do More'

(London, UK)A leading peer in the House of Lords, Baroness Uddin of Bethnal Green has urged Britain's premier, Gordon Brown and his Chancellor, Alistair Darling to do more for families with autism who are below the poverty line. Lady Uddin is supporting the Poverty and Autism Initiative launched in London on Monday 3rd November by the autism charity, the UK Autism Foundation.

According to organisers The Campaign to End Child Poverty, thousands are expected at the march from Millbank to Trafalgar Square.
