Classic comic book Tintin in the Congo has been removed from the children's section of a major Australian book chain. Senior buyer for Borders Altea Huthnance says the move is in line with action by stores in the UK and US, sparked by a customer complaint that the book was racist.

Bookstore chain Borders says it has removed copies of a book about Tintin's adventures in Africa from the children's section of its US stores, as well as British outlets, amid allegations of racism.
