Music Director Gerard Schwarz and Seattle Symphony will embark on a California Tour, April 9–12, 2008, with guest violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg performing the Bruch and the Barber violin concertos. The tour begins in Santa Barbara on April 9 at the Arlington Theatre, followed by a performance in Palm Desert on April 10 at McCallum Theatre.

The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra is proud to announce plans for both an international tour and a domestic tour in the 2008/2009 Season. The international tour in October 2008 will take the orchestra to China, South Korea, and the Special Administrative Region of Macau. In April/May of 2009, the orchestra will travel to eastern Canada, with concerts in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, and Quebec City.

A traveling exhibition of extraordinary archaeological treasures from the National Museum of Afghanistan, Kabul, will begin a 17-month tour of the United States in spring 2008, it was announced today by the National Geographic Society and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.

In January 2008 Birmingham Royal Ballet travels to Japan to perform two full-length ballets, David Bintley's Beauty and the Beast and Sir Peter Wright's production of Coppélia. This tour marks Birmingham Royal Ballet’s first visit to Japan since 1995. On this occasion the Company performed Swan Lake and Coppélia.

As part of November gallery tours at the Walker Art Center, Gallery Talks on Frida Kahlo and her work, in English and Spanish, will take place at 6 pm on Fridays, November 2 and 30 (English), and at 7 pm Friday, November 30 (Spanish).

The Queensland Orchestra will travel some 6,500km in 2008 taking the works of master composers Mozart, Beethoven, Weber, Tchaikovsky and Sibelius, as well as some light hearted musical interpreptations, to more rural and regional centres than ever before.

October tours at the Walker Art Center offer a chance to see the latest exhibition Brave New Worlds (opening October 4), a groundbreaking show about art's responsibilities in times of adversity.

'Everybody Loves A Clown Tour' by Atmosphere with Mac Lethal, Grayskul & LUCKYIAM (of Living Legends) will take place on Monday, October 15th, at 8pm, at Pabst Theater.

This Autumn, English National Ballet will take two full-length ballets on a UK tour, travelling to Liverpool, Bristol, Oxford, Southampton and Manchester with performances at the London Coliseum in December and January 2008. The tour opens on 11 October with the World Premiere of Michael Corder’s The Snow Queen.
