Toysafety.org that deals with toy safety issues presents the list of 10 worst toys that have been recalled.

The U.S.-based toy giant, Mattel, has recalled about 155,000 of its toys in the United States because they contain small parts that pose a risk of choking for children.

Bumbo baby sitter seats are recalled due to serious head injuries. About one million Bumbo baby sitter seats, made in South Africa and sold at Target, Wal-Mart, Sears, Kmart, Toys R Us, Babies R Us, USA Babies are recalled and the company provides now safety information for consumers.

Almost 35,000 Baby Einstein toy blocks were recalled by Walt Disney Company after the paint used on the toys were discovered to have excessive amounts of lead paint.

China's government is scrambling to improve its product-safety image following yet another massive recall of Chinese-made products. The latest case, announced by a major U.S. toy maker Tuesday, involves the recall of more than 700,000 toys tainted with excessive levels of lead.

A US-based workers' rights group says it found "brutal conditions" and labour violations at eight Chinese plants that make toys for big multinationals, and called on the companies to take steps for better standards.
