Armenian director's film received a Tribeca Film Festival prize.

The sixth annual Tribeca Film Festival has opened in New York with its usual fanfare, hosting the U.S. premiere of "Spiderman 3," the latest installment of the international hit movies based on the comic book character. But beyond the flashbulbs, red carpets and celebrities, the film festival has quickly established itself as one of the world's top venues for documentaries and foreign films.

Tribeca Enterprises, the parent company of the Tribeca Film Festival, and ESPN Inc., the worldwide leader in sports entertainment, today announced the screenings and information for the inaugural Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival, which will take place during the 12 days of the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival.

The Tribeca Film Institute today announced the launch of Tribeca Teaches: Films In Motion, an innovative pilot program which continues on as part of the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival, through April 28. In partnership with the Bronx Preparatory Charter School, Tribeca Teaches: Films In Motionwill educate historically underserved middle and high school students in the South Bronx, about the art and process of filmmaking.

Tribeca Film Festival, presented by American Express, along with the Tribeca Film Institute today announced the selected projects for Tribeca All Access, a program designed to help foster relationships between film industry executives and filmmakers from traditionally underrepresented communities. Tribeca All Access will present 32 new projects at the five-day event, which runs April 25 - 29 during this year's Tribeca Film Festival, held from April 25 - May 6.
