Baroness Uddin supports UKAF Initiative on Poverty and Autism

(London, UK)A leading peer in the House of Lords, Baroness Uddin of Bethnal Green has urged Britain's premier, Gordon Brown and his Chancellor, Alistair Darling to do more for families with autism who are below the poverty line. Lady Uddin is supporting the Poverty and Autism Initiative launched in London on Monday 3rd November by the autism charity, the UK Autism Foundation.

Support for UK Autism Foundation from Redbridge Leader Cllr Alan Weinberg

(London, UK) Councillor Alan Weinberg, the leader of the London Borough of Redbridge Council warmly supported the important work of the UK Autism Foundation. Cllr Weinberg was speaking at the Jon Sterry Concert for Autism in Woodford Green, Essex. The fundraising concert was in aid of the autism charity, the UK Autism Foundation.

Autism agency urges PM to increase Tax Credits

(London, UK) Saturday 4th October sees the UK's biggest ever event to End Child Poverty. According to organisers The Campaign to End Child Poverty, thousands are expected at the march from Millbank to Trafalgar Square. Parents, carers and children with autism and Asperger's Syndrome will also be joining this march. A UK based charity, the UK Autism Foundation has appealed for urgent help for families with autism who are below the poverty line.

UK Autistic Teenager found after Hospital Blunder

(London, UK) A 16 year old British teenager,James Wilson who has autism, has been found by police having walked from Epping via Chelmsford to Colchester in Essex, after a massive hospital blunder. Mrs Lash Wilson, mother of James has called on the Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Secretary of State for Health Alan Johnson to launch an inquiry as how a vulnerable teenager with autism was allowed out of Goodmayes Hospital in Essex to go to the cornershop unsupervised.
