Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger is officially known as the "Hero on the Hudson;" the pilot who managed to successfully ditch a U.S. Airways A320, Flight 1549, in the Hudson River, with no fatalities. It's happened before, and it will happen again: the U.S. Airways flight earlier today which crash landed in the Hudson River was the result of a bird strike.
