Former top Dutch footballer Ruud Gullit is resigning as coach of Los Angeles Galaxy. The US soccer club failed to win its last seven matches and is eleventh out of 14 clubs in the competition. Gullit was LA Galaxy coach for just nine months. The team's star player is David Beckham. Team manager Alexi Lalas has also resigned. Gullit's assistant trainer will take over for the time being.
