Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE:DLB) announced that the Dolby Digital Cinema server has officially earned its Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2 Level 3 validation certificate. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), a nonregulatory federal agency within the US Department of Commerce, awarded the certificate.
