New research released by Vodafone UK suggests that business people tempted to spend too much time online ‘social networking’ are in danger of losing out to those that mix old methods with the new.

Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, today announced that Vodafone Portugal has selected Amdocs Operations Support Systems (OSS) to streamline its network resource and capacity management.

The Greek unit of the U.K.'s mobile operator has been fined 19.1 million euros ($26 million) in a wiretapping scandal involving the country's senior officials, the national telecoms regulator said.

This is a key goal for operators trying to reduce abandonment rates and encourage uptake of services. According to Jim Small, Portal Relevance Manager at Orange UK said, “For us it is about enhancing and personalizing the customer experience, whilst increasing customer loyalty and content revenues.”
