Shanghai, August 11 (Gasgoo.com) Volkswagen AG is reportedly to start selling its six generation Golf model as of next year, Chinese newspaper Guangzhou Daily reported Monday.

German automobile manufacturer Volkswagen AG posted that its 2007 net income nearly doubled to 4.1 billion euros (6.2 billion dollars) last year as it sold more than 6 million cars worldwide.

Volkswagen AG’s luxury arm Audi AG said Thursday that its global sales worldwide increased 5.3 percent in October compared with last year.
