Opera Software today launched Opera 9.6, the newest version of Opera’s award-winning Web browser.

Following complaints by users, Google has removed the section of Google Chrome's end-user license agreement which claims that Google has the right to use any content submitted through its browser in virtually any way it wants.

Opera Software announces record download figures. In the five days following its launch on June 12, 2008, Opera 9.5 achieved 4.7 million downloads. Opera also reports that the number of people using its browser has more than doubled since Opera 9.0 debuted in 2006.
